Leicester

This project involved the renovation of a single fronted cottage with an 1970's extension. The existing house was dark and disconnected from the external entertaining area and pool. The design intent was to dramatically improve the quality of light and create a seamless transition between the internal living and external living spaces. We located all wet areas and the kitchen to the boundary of the residence and located high level window through the centre, bringing light into the depth of the long narrow site. Additionally, we arranged the living, kitchen and dining areas around  a courtyard that gave the appearance of larger space.

Location: Parkside, SA

Builder: Paxton Construction

Design Team: Amy Grundy, Amelia Robson, Katherine Dujmovic
